A Pelikan M1005 clear "demonstrator" fountain pen with a fine nib, inked with Pelikan Edelstein in Mandarin. The beads of ink in the cap is from me shaking the pen around after not wiping ink from the nib post-filling. Whoops. I thought it was kinda neat thought.
And you're probably wondering "is she obsessed with this pen and ink?" The answer is yes. Yes I am. You can get some Mandarin ink for yourself here! And you should. Because it's very pretty.

That's a beautiful fountain pen, and a fantastically cheerful shade of ink. I wish I could utilize fountain pens in my sketching, unfortunately I need a fluid stroke, and nibs are a bit finicky in how they're pulled.
It is a great combination of pen and ink! Especially because I can see the ink in the barrel :) I've seen a few artists who use fountain pens for sketching and it's quite amazing but you're right - you do have to be careful on the nibs and direction of pressure... a really soft flex would be wondrous to work with if you get the hang of the nib!
Thank you for stopping by :) (I hope you receive your package soon!)
