Last Friday, November 2, 2012, it was the first annual Fountain Pen Day! And with it, there were several celebrations, including a few giveaways - a few of which I WON!! (I really hope this post doesn't make you all hate me. I fear it will. Maybe I should just delete this post.)
First win was this super cool leather Western writing sheaf from Sula Jane and Earl during a Twitter "Guess-the-ink-staining-my-hand" contest! I have needed one of these for a long time so I'm thrilled! Well. Maybe need isn't the correct word. But I have strongly desired a nice pen wrap for a long time. There.
Next win was during Goulet Pens's special evening broadcast where they revealed the winners of the Lamy Studio Royal Red giveaway, and then they gave away a bunch of ink at the end of the broadcast, only available to the viewers. It was a hilarious evening with a lot of laughing and fun and pen talk. I was the lucky winner of the last prize - a prized Pilot Metropolitan! Also in this evening, Shartvigs became famous (you had to be there).
The final giveaway I won from Fountain Pen Day was held by Brush Dance. Christine ever so generously allowed me to pick an ink from Goulet Pens and she was so sweet and included samples of two other inks I was debating over, and a sample of a color she really likes! I ended up with a bottle of Pilot Iroshizuku Ku-Jaku, and samples of Sailor Kiwa-Guro Pigmented Nano Black, Sailor Jentle Sky High, and Pilot Iroshizuku Fuyu-syogun. Plus a snazzy drawing.
I received two lovely letters - one including Michael the Cat and stickers from Storm, the other including a fantastic white tea from Cole.
Won a Cross Click rollerball pen from the Staples Promotional Blog! Review (and giveaway) coming soon!
I periodically (ok. frequently.) check Jetpens's close out section and realized the Rohrer & Klingner Drawing & Calligraphy Inks were on the go! I had these on my wish list for a long time but kept putting it off (I know. Story of my life.) so I had to get a few.
Finally, I received my three handmade journals from TMLee! I ordered them while we were in San Francisco, including a special custom Fountain Pen Day 2012 journal!
Oh wait. Got a few Sharpies at Staples too.

I try to remember to do a giveaway round up whenever stationery bloggers (or any bloggers really) are having giveaways I think readers will like - will make a note to be better at that :) Write to Me Often is a great blog too. Lots of yummy pictures and reviews!

Hmn, that might be true in the States but over here in the UK I've seen it online in a couple of places. Doesn't stop it being awesome (and on my wishlist) though :D
