Since we were away for almost two weeks, I have neglected not only my blog but the mailbox as well. My birthday also passed, and while we don't celebrate our birthdays or exchange crazy (or any) gifts, Kevin always likes to surprise me. Good thing I'm so slow I never figure out what's going on, or his job would be a lot more difficult. This epic gift was waiting for me at home.

I also brought home a few goods with me, including a Waterman Havana Brown ink (which has been on my wish list for awhile), and a few Jinhao fountain pens. I also acquired some goods from the University of Manitoba. Just some random fun things to experiment with. The Sailor comes from Goulet Pens after I was accidentally sent the wrong colour ink! Thanks Goulets!

Also waiting for me at home were two
Pawalla boxes I won for the kitties, full of surprises! Half of this stuff has been opened and the cats have already gotten into most of it. So helpful they are.

Last but not least, a big thank you to Pentel for sending this amazing parcel with some nifty marker pens I haven't yet tried, and a set of Sliccis in the 0.25 mm size! Awesome.

LOL oh that'll take forever. I'm coming up with a newer more streamlined ink review plan so I bet I can do it. ... It'll still take forever.
I love the Waterman Brown. Their main ink at my local shop is Waterman, and while I want to try some other browns, that Waterman brown has become one of my main go to inks. My Safari Lamy is always filled with it! It's a delightful color that pleases me everyday, even on days when I wish I had brought one of my Esterbrooks (which are generally filled with aqua, J. Herbin mystosis bleu, and/or Lamy red). How is it possible for a brown to make me happy in a "bright color" mood? Easy - it writes like a dream and places such a striking line on the page that you can't help but smile!
And wowsas, those other items are unbelievable. I look forward to hearing about the Jin Hao fountain pen.

I'm so excited to finally have Havana Brown! One of my kitties is a Havana Brown and I'm thinking, if this ink is anything like her coat colour, it'll be awesome hee hee! Can't wait :D
OMG. That's a majestic line up of ink bottles. If Kevin ever wants to top that, there are always those custom heritage pens that's named after/with body that match the inks (there are only six of them though)...
