Mailbox Goodies: Waterman 94 + Factory Original Music Nib

To celebrate the end of my... um... two week hiatus (April 14ish - April 30), Kevin gave me this crazy gorgeous pen. So basically, all the money I saved on said hiatus was spent. And then some. But that's on him, not me.

I felt this gorgeous creature deserved its own post, apart from Mailbox Goodies. So instead of throwing it into the Mailbox Goodies mix on Monday, here it is with some messy writing samples. You may have seen some of them before, but if you haven't, I hope you enjoy them. As I get the hang of this nib, hopefully my writing will improve! (Hopefully, she says.)

Your writing looks fantastic! What does a music nib look like? Any special writing techniques needed? Oh, and the pen is scrumptious, too. :P

  4. I thought it was normal to write weird things when you are doodling. I doodle while watching TV so my page is filled with fragments of dialogue from the show that is on at the time.

  6. Thank you :D I will take a picture of the nib soon, promise! I write with it just like I do with a flex nib. It's a lot wider though so a touch slower so the feed can keep up. When I do the actual review, I'll do a video of me writing with it :)

  9. The original owner of the pen I'm 90 percent sure was from Wausaukee Wisconsin. He was born 1/4/1885 and died in April of 1974.

  10. Let's try this again.. Just got back from Austin, nice place to live I bet. I'm a Private Detective so I ran the name on your pen. I'm 90% sure Max last lived in Wausaukee, Wi. He was born in 01/04/1885 and died 04/1974. Thought this might interest you. Cool pen!

  13. That is beyond cool! I was trying to figure out what it was. Googled his name and of course got a variety of results, but not this!! I love vintage pens because they have awesome history to them! Thank you SO much for sharing :D
