Review: Franklin-Christoph Dark Denim Writing Fluid @PiperFC

Scott at Franklin-Christoph sent me samples of the new Franklin-Christoph Writing Fluids - a.k.a fountain pen inks - to try out and review. I reviewed the Black Magic a little while ago, next up is the Dark Denim.

PROS

• A very nice blue-black color.
• Has good shading.
• Dries pretty quickly on Rhodia.
• Water resistant. 

CONS

• A little dry in broad nibs.

OVERALL

Franklin-Christoph's Dark Denim is a really nice, quite well-behaved blue-black fountain pen ink. I wasn't sure what I would encounter after using and experiencing the Black Magic ink, which isn't a bad ink, but it sure bleeds! Dark Denim is very nice, a little on the dry side, but it has nice saturation, nice shading, dries pretty quickly on Rhodia, and is water resistant. If you are in search of a blue-black, I do recommend this ink to you.
