Massdrop: Bringing Enthusiasts Together! GIVEAWAY @massdrop

You may have seen me post about Massdrop deals here before. In case you haven't yet discovered the many joys of Massdrop, I'll fill you in. Massdrop is an online community for (amazing) people like us. Enthusiasts, fans, pen addicts, everyday carry-ers, and more. It brings us together with the products we love and the manufacturers that deliver them, putting us all in one place. This platform allows us to get together to poll, vote, and organize group buys to get bulk pricing on things we really want. (Or really need. Why not both?)

There are different categories - everyday carry, audiophile, auto, coffee & tea, crafting, tech, writing, and more. Once it's decided what product you'd like, Massdrop goes to the vendor on behalf of the community. Each buy is called a "drop". Join a drop to get the goods, and enjoy lower prices on the things you love and passionately desire.

Something that appeals to me is the Leatherback Writer 2 by This is Ground, as it is leather, an everyday carry item, and something that protects my stationery. I love all-in-one things. The two colours depicted below (Whiskey and Bomber) and warm and ever so slightly rugged. There is also a black version, if you want to stick to the classics.

The Leatherback Writer 2 was designed and is handmade in Los Angeles. The cover is hand stitched, highlighting its simple and attractive design. The back is tastefully stamped with the This Is Ground logo. It's a functional carrier that looks good.

Inside, the Writer 2 reveals a slot to house your pocket-sized notebook (3.5" x 5.5"), one for your iPhone/smartphone, a little slot for your preferred writing utensil, and a snap closure to keep the bundle secure. There are a few days left to get in on this drop!

  1. Wow - just signed up for Massdrop yesterday! So comment I will... I would like to see a review of the "Deep Dark" line of inks from Cult Pens - are they so mind-blowingly incredible that I should drop everything and get them shipped internationally?

  3. I signed up for Massdrop back in May, to take advantage of an amazing deal on Pilot Parallels - and have participated in a couple of additional drops since then.

I'd love to see Massdrop offering a deal on pretty well any TWSBI pen (well, maybe not the Classic) - and/or a Franklin Christoph fountain pen. Not sure which of these you've already reviewed, Azizah - but feel free to take your pick!

  7. I've been on Massdrop a while, but only recently have I gotten into fountain pens. As an editor of a student magazine, I would like to see some fountain pen friendly planners either reviewed or on Massdrop. I need all the help I can staying organized!

  8. I just ordered something on Massdrop for the first time - a Pilot Falcon.

I'd like to see a review of a pen that I've lusted over for quite some time (and due its price, won't be able to afford for a long time): the Pilot Silvern.
