Pen Pals: For The Love of Pens! (And Cheesecake)

This weekend, I met up with my former pen pal Cheetarah (@missthundercat on Instagram and Twitter) and her husband, Cris. We met them at a little tea and coffee shop (with excellent cheesecake) here in town. Obviously we both arrived with bags that were full of pens and inks. At some point while we were swapping pens to try out, the couple at the table next to us looked over incredulously, and the guy continued to stare. Probably in complete confusion.

It really didn't take long before we broke out the paper and pens. ... And inks.

This is Cheetarah's very cool Lamy Al-Vista Frankenpen! Eyedroppers are entirely more fun than anything else. 

Cheetarah brought her Edison Nouveau Premiere and I brought along the Edison Menlo, one translucent, one insanely pearlescent... and they hung out side-by-side.

Cheetarah brought her Delta Dolcevita in the middle, to compare it to the Mini, to figure out whether she had an Undersized or a Medium, or a Mini! It made for a cute family picture.

A Pilot Parallel 6.0 mm with the blindingly fun Noodler's Ink Dragon Catfish Green. SO FUN.

SWEETCOTTONCANDYGRAPES. This nib, pen, and ink combination......now I want the purple Lamy Studio. SIGH.

It's possible this was my favourite. It's hard to say though, because I really liked them all. 

This is a crazy cute notebook Cheetarah gave me! You'll get to see the adorable pages inside later!

I took some ink home. Le sigh!

Oh, and a nifty Lamy pen stand, which will come in very handy for reviews and pen p0rn!

All in all, a great time, talking about pens and ink, and smearing ink all over our hands - this literally happened.
