PROS
  • Beautiful, deep, sultry red ink.
  • Nice shading but reaches full saturation quickly.
  • A great red - not bright correction red, but not too dark either.
CONS
  • Expensive.
  • Tastes gross.
  • No water resistance.
OVERALL

I love the colour of this ink - it's a deep red, but not the correction type red. Good properties, well-behaved, and a bottle that isn't something you have to wrestle with.

I received this ink free of charge for the purposes of this review. I was not compensated monetarily for my review. Everything you've read here is my own opinion.

Gorgeous. (Makes me wish I purchased some cartridges for my Brass Wave Liliput.)

Happy belated birthday to you! (I think...)

Taste? You did that intentionally?

The Bottle seems to be the same as the Pelikan 4001 ones.

Thank you!

Sadly. But I may stop that eventually. Most taste vile.

Hello, your sample of the Rouge Hematite, to me, looks green. Also, may I ask why you taste the ink?

Azizah Asgarali said...

Yes, definitely green looking because of that ink's sheen.
Why do I taste the ink? Hehe good question. Why not? Just curious about them.

Thank you! :) I'm excited about it. This is such a nice red - not too bright, not too bloody lol

Thank you. The sheen of the ink is very interesting. As for the ink tasting, I have a bottle of Barolo ink. It was sold as Laywine's (Toronto, Canada), but I think it was made by DeAtramentis. I was told by the owner of the shop that it actually has wine in the formula. I'll take his word for it. It's a lovely shade. Now you have me thinking: what about the taste of Noodler's Baystate Concord Grape?
