PROS
- Very economical.
- Water resistant.
- Dries fast.
- Not the most hideous blue-black! WOO!
- Was pretty easy to clean out.
- I know I wrote no sheen, and under normal circumstances, there is none, but if you splatter the ink, it will make a great saturated little pool. Love it.
- Shades quite well for such a dark ink.
- Must practice proper pen hygiene.
This Registrar's Ink is a no brainer. There will come a time when you need a waterproof ink - labeling envelopes, for example. This ink is affordable, is a great value, and the blue-black color is pretty decent. That's coming from me, who generally doesn't care for blue-blacks. Check it out!
I received this item free of charge for the purposes of this review. I was not compensated monetarily for my review. Everything you've read here is my own opinion.

It is quite a lovely blue-black!
I like blue-black, and I like the look of this. Thanks for reviewing it.
Aaaaah one of my favourites! Partially because of the smell (it reminds me of fingerpaints I used when little), but also because it never failed me. It writes well on crappy paper too (with an M/F nib). I've also had no issue with it drying out (yet) and I don't always treat my pens properly *cough*. Sailor Sei Boku dries out within a week usually, but I've had this one in a pen and not used it for nearly three weeks and it only looked a bit darker. I don't recommend trying this of course ;)
This is a good one, I got a bottle about a week ago and just love it, it shades nicely in my Kaweco Al-Sport 1.1mm, good review thanks...
I had already been thinking about this, as I am having a love affair with iron gall inks at the moment. So seeing your tests and review tipped me over the edge--just bought some. :-)
