February 2016 #tarquinswords
If InCoWriMo isn't enough to keep you occupied this month, join in #tarquinswords! My pen pal, Melinda (@mel_kam), came up with this great idea to encourage herself (and then me, too) to practice our calligraphy regularly. In her case, she's already outstanding. In my case, I need practice, even if it's just a few lines at a time.
What is it? One short word/a few words in the middle of the week, and one longer sentence/quote on Saturdays.
What do you do? Post it on your social media, blog, or anywhere else, and tag your work with #tarquinswords! There's no obligation to post it anywhere, it would just be fun to see who else participates and see all your calligraphy!

"Print is predictable and impersonal, conveying information in a mechanical transaction with the reader's eye. Handwriting, by contrast, resists the eye, reveals its meaning slowly, and is as intimate as skin." - ‘A Tale for the Time Being' by Ruth Ozeki
