Ink Shot Review: @LAMY Vibrant Pink 2018 Ink @laywines

Thank you to the lovely folks at Laywine's in Toronto, Ontario for sending me this bottle of Lamy Vibrant Pink ink for a review! In fact, it was couriered to my door so that it would not freeze in transit. That's pretty awesome. This is a picture heavy post, just to warn you.

PROS

• Gorgeous, vibrant pink.
• Shades pretty well.
• A great sheen on fountain pen friendly paper.
• Has silver particles - not too many to clog your feed, but enough to add some extra spice.
• Decent price.
• Well-behaved ink.
• Comes with a roll of blotting paper for cleaning your nib.

CONS

• Special edition - only available this year and then it will be gone. Stock up while you can!
• Needs some extra care for cleaning because of the particles in it. 
• No water resistance

OVERALL

I really liked the Lamy special edition inks for the last two years: Petrol and Dark Lilac. I will not make the same stupid mistake with those where I waited too long and did not get myself a bottle before they disappeared. This time, I will stock up. I love this pink. It's definitely vibrant, saturated, fun, bright, cheery, perfect! Shading shows well with a regular broad or stub nib, sheen looks best on fountain pen friendly paper in a saturated application - this is not unusual. Particles show up pretty well overall - it's not an excessive amount so you can still see your ink color.
