PROS
- Very affordable.
- A lot of ink in that bottle!
- Great for corrections and such.
- Easy to fill from the bottle - nice wide mouth.
- Beautiful shading.
- Well-behaved - flows very well.
- There's still a bit of pink to this red, if you are looking for a true solid, deep red!
- I always pay extra attention to reds - careful in demonstrators and cleaning them thoroughly because they can stain.
I'm fairly picky about my red inks. I don't care for washed out reds or pink-reds or half-reds or non-red-reds. What? I'm not sure. Valentine's Red actually surprised me. I think it has a bit of pink to it when it's spread out so in this case, I actually find it best in a broad, wet nib and not a wider nib that spreads the ink like a stub or italic. It has some sheen, it's quite rich, and the bottle is not only super affordable, it's really easy to fill from. Really nice stuff.
