To mark our 100 years of existence, PW Akkerman introduced in 2010 his own ink line. This ink’s came in large 150 ml bottles, these large bottles are now completely sold out. Due to the worldwide success of this unique bottle we decided to continue, but now with a smaller sized bottle with a content of ca 60 ml. The new bottles will be available in the same 31 colors as before.
The Akkerman inks have been given names related to the city The Hague. For example: KoninginneNach-Blauw, Binnenhof Blues, Shocking Blue, Parkpop Purper or/and Rood Haags Pluch.P.W. Akkerman Hofkwartier Groen is one of my favorite green inks ever made. It has wicked shading, it leans towards the lime-green side, which I really like, and it's legible no matter what nib size you're working with. It's just a really juicy color like a saucy green limeade drink... however because it is a green, it can develop nib creep and crust over on your nibs easily if the seal on your nib is not tight. Do not panic. It may look disgusting but the gunk just wipes away. It's no fun to clean if it dries out in your pen so practice regular pen usage and maintenance.
Price: € 15,00
Where to buy: P.W. Akkerman (a few US retailers also carry this ink but this is the direct source)
